La Comida Española

Actividad I:  Draw a map of Spain.

  1. Color and label each of the six cooking regions in English and Spanish.  Illustrate each of the regions.

Actividad II: Answer the following questions:

  1. Name a typical dish from each of the six cooking regions.






  2. Name 3 ingredients found in most Spanish cooking.
  3. What is one of the most popular Spanish soups?
  4. Name 2 typical Spanish desserts.
  5. What is chorizo?
  6. What is an oil used in Spanish cooking?

Actividad III y IV:  Choose two of the following:

  1. Make a typical Spanish food and bring it to class to share with the other students.  Be prepared to explain how it is prepared and when it is eaten.
  2. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of Spanish eating times and habits. How does Spanish climate affect times and meals?
  3. Prepare a menu of at least a 3 course Spanish meal.
    Explain each of the courses.
  4. Look around the shelves of your local supermarket and find out what food and drink we import from Spain.
